Rupert Giles is Buffy's Watcher. His job is to train Buffy and read up on demons. He was told of his destiny when he was 10. A rebellious teenager, Giles created a demon. His one true love, Jenny Calendar (who he later found out was the gypsy Janna), who was killed by the demonic vampire Angelus. Giles burned down the vampires' lair. British, Giles enjoys tea. Giles is played by Anthony Stewart Head. |
