Angel(us)
Angel is a vampire. Changed 242 years ago into the demon Angelus, he was sired by Darla. 100 years ago, as Angelus, he killed a girl. The girl's clan gave him his soul back, and for nearly 100 years Angel, returned to himself, refused all human contact until Whistler trained him to help Vampire Slayer Buffy--with whom he found a moment of true happiness and became the vampire Angelus again, for a while. Finally Buffy send Angelus to hell and Angel returned, where he has now resumed his work of helping Buffy. As Angelus, Angel sired Drusilla.
